CHALLENGE 

Create a building which responds to the surroundings of the transformative former industrial LA arts district.

The plaza/gallery space is at the core of the building’s “inner love.”

In keeping with the 'outer grit' of the district, the exterior acts as a solid shell which opens to reveal the inner life of the gallery.
