CHALLENGE
Design a town center around a schoolhouse.
Built in 1909, the Woodenville Schoolhouse was the the center of the community.
We started by understanding the city of Woodinville –where the connection to water, farm, and forest are celebrated in the buildings and landscapes.
We designed a variety of unique public spaces, inspired by the character of Woodinville, to create an intimate authentic community experience.
“Community” emerged as a key word during planning efforts undertaken for the Civic Campus site. The final design reflects the citizen’s strong desire to create a center for their town.
Coming soon to Woodinville!
